Cloud servers and standard VPSs share many features. Both options rely on virtualization to create your operating environment. However, standard VPS plans rely on a single physical server to store data and serve your pages or applications. The server runs multiple virtual instances of VPSs.
With cloud servers, your data is served from a variety of physical servers linked together in a cloud network. The servers use dedicated network interfaces and NVMe solid state drives (SSDs) to deliver greater reliability.
The architecture of the cloud network combined with the latest technology allows us to deliver the following advantages:
You do not need to be a computer expert to start managing your servers. Our user-friendly interface allows you to easily find the features and settings that you need. Stop dealing with long loading times or complicated menus. Quickly navigate the interface to configure your servers, upload data, or perform any other task.
The cloud networks used for our cloud server plans provide increased data security compared to dedicated servers or standard virtual private servers. All our cloud servers use the latest software to protect against cyber attacks and data loss. You also receive advanced DDoS protection at no additional charge.
Thanks to our cloud architecture and cloud volumes, you receive greater scalability. Our available plans provide suitable options for each stage of your business. With cloud volumes, you also have the freedom to set up SSD storage for your cloud servers based on your needs. Each volume can expand up to 10 TB in size.
Our cloud servers provide an affordable solution for serving your databases, Kubernetes clusters, and other web-based applications. Cloud networks require fewer devoted resources compared to dedicated servers, resulting in lower costs. Along with saving money, the convenience of our cloud network saves you time configuring your servers.
Stop waiting to set up your server. At YottaHost, our cloud server hosting allows you to almost instantly configure your virtual servers. In most cases, you can get your server running within seconds. Other server solutions may take hours or days to configure. You no longer need to worry about delays when setting up your server.
Along with many amazing advantages compared to other server options, our cloud server plans include many capabilities and features
Our cloud networks give you more control over applications and databases. Easily set up private networks and complex network infrastructures based on your specific requirements. Our versatile networks allow you to configure IP addresses, subnets, and routes. You can add up to 100 servers to a single cloud network.
With cloud server hosting, you have the luxury of configuring multiple server instances with individual blocks of storage. These cloud volumes can be expanded in 1 GB increments up to 10 TB using a simple sliding bar. Each of your cloud servers can have up to 16 volumes mounted.
To deliver exceptional performance, we use NVMe SSD RAID configurations. This local storage combined with the latest server processors results in faster speeds. We also manage our network infrastructure from quality data centers in Germany, providing a redundant 10 Gbit network connection. With less loading time, you and your employees can accomplish tasks faster.
We provide optional automatic backups. Backups are complete copies of your individual servers. Setting up automatic backups protects against data loss and allows for faster data recovery. With our cloud server plans, you can save up to seven automatic backups.
Snapshots provide an additional data loss protection method. Snapshots are manual backups that you create as needed. The backup is a saved image of your server that allows you to instantly restore a server or create a duplicate server. You can even access the data on the image for individual projects or tasks.
Our cloud servers come with 20 TB of bandwidth, which is more than enough for most projects. No matter which of our plans you select, you should not need to worry about bandwidth issues. For projects that require more bandwidth, you can add more as needed for an additional monthly charge.
Choose from the most popular operating systems. We always provide the latest release whether you select Fedora, Debian, or Ubuntu. You may also choose from a variety of other Linux operating systems. We also provide the freedom to install your own OS, including Windows, but do not provide support.
Our data centers and cloud networks fully comply with the GDPR. We also make it easy to generate your Data Processing Agreement. Your DPA can include your location in Europe, ensuring that you meet GDPR compliance for web-based applications in the EU.
We protect against cyber threats, giving you peace of mind. Firewalls, malware scanning, and additional security technologies are used to stop DDoS attacks and other malicious threats. These solutions are provided at no additional cost.
A cloud disk provides storage on remote filesystems instead of servers with local disks. The cloud disks include blocks of data storage with each block stored on three separate servers. This increases redundancy, helping to prevent downtime due to hardware failure.
Non-volatile memory express (NVMe) are solid-state drives (SSDs) that use the PCI-express bus lanes instead of SATA connections. This results in much faster read/write speeds compared to SATA SSDs, giving you a significant performance boost.

Snapshots are manual backups that include a complete image of your cloud server. Backups are automatic copies of the server disk, completed each night. Both options allow you to quickly restore a server.
Cloud volumes are individual blocks of storage attached to your cloud servers. Available sizes range from 10 GB to 10 TB. This provides faster, more flexible storage for individual server instances.
We run our cloud servers on the latest Intel Xeon processors. Our servers also use ECC RAM. Local storage options use fast, stable NVMe SSDs.
We use a kernel-based virtual machine (KVM) for a hypervisor to run multiple virtual environments. For local disks and NICs, we use Virtio.
We do not currently provide the option to customize virtual servers. However, we provide a variety of additional server configuration options. You may mount cloud volumes with up to 10 TB of storage. Other configuration settings include adding more RAM or CPU resources using the provided Rescale option.
We use cloud-init to prepare disk images and set up the networks. The images come with the QEMU Guest helper daemon preinstalled. This daemon provides force flushing of disk image caches before creating snapshots or backups. It also allows you to easily reset the root password.
